Belated Happy Holidays! and the Website Saga

I hope everyone had a great time with family and friends.   I had a good time with the last game of 2018 on the 22nd and a great dinner with family on the 25th.   Even scored a replacement for my ancient and dying laser printer (Rest well, old HP, you printed many a map and manual).

I would have posted this sooner, but the website was down from the Wednesday before christmas to the Wednesday thereafter.   Some Knob hacked the website and so my hosting company shut the site down, telling me it would be back in 24-48 hours once they investigated.   Well, while cheap and generally helpful, 1 and 1 IONOS ain’t known for accurate time estimates….instead of back on Friday as promised, the Security department buggered off for the holiday without even a simple update.

After shooting them a letter on Christmas eve asking them to at least update me when they returned to the office and read their mail, I get an email on the 26th (Late in the day) saying site was back up.   Better late than never, I guess.

I’ve had similar issues in the past. They get their in the end, but sometimes you want to pull your hair out waiting for ’em.
